IN MEMORIAM

In loveing memory of our son and

Brother, Private First Class Leroy

R. Warner, who was with the 6th Inf. Div. and gave his life for his country,

January 13,1945

____________

A dear one of ours is gone.

A jolly voice we loved is stilled.

A room in our home is vacant

that never can be filled.

God in his wisdom has recalled.

The boom his love has given.

And though his body lies over there

His soul is safe in heaven.

My star of hope so precious.

I call this golden star,

It shineth in my sorrow.

Our loved one lost in War.

Our Buddie.

Sadly missed by his parents, Mr.and Mrs.Guy Warner and sister Mrs. Russell Glasshof.

I Do not know what news paper these were in. These Articles from grandmas scrap book.

Phoebe (Evenson) Purkis Everyone knew him by Buddy, I dont think most people knew his name was Leroy. "Buddies" Stone is in Mt. Nebo Cemetery Jump River Wi. beside his mother Laura (Evenson) Warner and his father Guy Warner. May they all rest in peace.

***SSDI records indicate Leroy was born July 30, 1923.
