Killed on Luzon

Medford...Word has been recieved by Mr. and Mrs. Guy Warner of Jump River, that their son, Leroy, was killed on Luzon Jan. 13 (1945) He entered service in January, 1943, and left the States in February, 1944. He was stationed in New Guinea and then moved on to Luzon.

A dear one of ours is gone.

A jolly voice we loved is stilled.

A room in our home is vacant

that never can be filled.

God in his wisdom has recalled.

Sadly missed by his parents, Mr.and Mrs.Guy Warner and sister Mrs. Russell Glasshof.

Phoebe (Evenson) Purkis Everyone knew him by Buddy, I dont think most people knew his name was Leroy. "Buddies" Stone is in Mt. Nebo Cemetery Jump River Wi. beside his mother Laura (Evenson) Warner and his father Guy Warner. May they all rest in peace.
