Chapel, Leo (8 Dec 1877- 2 Jan 1943)

Leo Chapel, 65, died at 9:30 o’clock Saturday night at his home in the Town of Fremont, 8 1/2 miles west of Chili, Wisconsin.

The body will lie in state at the Central Wisconsin Cooperative Funeral Home until tomorrow morning, when it will be taken to the family home.

funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Chapel home and at 2 o’clock at Advent Church, Windfall Corner, the Rev. S.A. Gutknecht officiating. Burial will be made in Granton (Windfall Cemetery).

Mr. Chapel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Chapel, was born in Sheboygan Dec. 8, 1877, and came to Fremont when he was 10 years old. He attended school here and was married in this vicinity June 5, 1906.

Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Chapel, are a son, Ellis Chapel, Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Hazel) Galbreath and Miss Josephine Chapel, Granton; and two grandchildren.
