Malnar, Goldie (Marriage - 2 July 1931)

Mr. Jack Knauz of West Allis, Wis., and Miss Goldie Malnar of Willard were united in marriage at the court house, Thursday afternoon July 2. The groom’s sister, Mrs. Mary Krazvich of West Allis acted as matron of honor, the bride being attended also by five bridesmaids; Miss Eva Knauz of West Allis, Miss Emma Lamut of Chicago; Miss Mary Malnar and Miss Mollie Permic of Willard and Miss Elizabeth Briski of Greenwood.

Judge O. W. Schoengarth performed the ceremony.

Mr. John Malnar of Willard, brother of the bride, was best man, here being also the following five groomsmen: Geo Knauz of Houghton, Mich.; Matt Malnar; Emil Malnar and John Zagozen of Willard and Matt Briski of Greenwood. Little Rosemary Malnar and Rosie Briski acted as flower girls. After the ceremony the wedding party assembled at Thayer’s Studio and had pictures taken. They formed an exceedingly handsome group of young people. The bride wore a gown of white satin, with veil and cap, and a pearl necklace. She carried an arm bouquet of roses and peonies. Mrs. Krasvich, the matron of honor was dressed in pink satin. Miss Knauz wore pale blue satin; Miss Lamut Lavender flat crepe; Miss Mary Malnar orchid flat crepe; Miss Briskis, green flat crepe; Miss Permic nile green satin and crepe. All carried beautiful arm bouquets. Rosemary Malnar was dressed in yellow and Rosie Briski in pink and carried pretty baskets of flowers.

A fine wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Malnar near Willard. A reception and dance was given in the evening which was largely attended by relatives and friends.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Knauz of Houghton, Mich., where he grew to manhood. For several years past he has been in the employ of the Allis Chalmers Co., at West Allis, where he holds a good position. He has been an occasional visitor here and has many friends who speak very highly of him.

The bride grew to womanhood at the farm home of her parents and has spent practically all her life here. She is a young lady of fine personality and has a large circle of admiring friends.

The young couple will make their home in West Allis. The Press extends best wishes and congratulations to them.
