Well Known Farmer Dead

Fred Wiegman Dies of Cancer of the Pacreas Friday, Feb. 9

Fred Wiegman of Green Grove died Friday evening at eleven o'clock of cancer of the pancreas after an illness of about two months.

He was born in Sheboygan Feb. 18, 1877 and came to this locality when one year old. Feb. 3, 1909, he was married to Martha Altenberger. To this union, two children were born, Merlin and Eleanor, both of whom are still living.

Mr. Wiegman worked as a carpenter until he was married when he moved on a farm where he remained until the time of his death. While in Green Grove, he held several school offices.

Funeral services were held from the St. Paul Church, Green Grove, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. Goetz officiating, and interment made in the Green Grove cemetery.

Besides his wife and children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weigman, of Colby, two sisters, Mrs. Anton Braun, Sheboygan and Mrs. Louis Fink, Green Grove, and one brother Richard, Green Grove, mourn his untimely departure.
