Mertle, Frank B. (1871 - 1 May 1926)

Frank B. Mertle of Marshfield died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 10:00 o'clock Saturday morning, the cause of his death being due to an operation for stomach trouble Monday.

Mr. Mertle was born in Racine, Wis. in 1871. He came to Marshfield in 1885 and lived here practically ever since. He was connected with the Albert Davel Co. for thirteen years here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) and spent quite a bit of his time working in this store until about six weeks prior to his death, when his health would not permit him to work.

He leaves two brothers, John L. and C. F. Mertle, both of Madison, and two sisters, Mrs. Anthony Otradovac and Mrs. Emmett Kvicala, both of Racine.

The last rites were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Marshfield at 9:00 o'clock Monday morning. The remains were sent to Racine Monday noon where burial took place Tuesday morning.

Those acting as pallbearers at Marshfield were: Dr. W. S. Sexton, H. S. Hambright, Harry Fiegelson, Anthony Kleinheing, Lloyd Felker, Edward Kleinheing.
