Bredlau, Emma (15 APR 1864 - 26 Dec 1922)

(Granton Items in Neillsville Press)

Emma Reidel was born April 15, 1864 in the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis., a daughter of John and Helena Reidel. She was married here in May of 1902 to Fred W. Bredlau and with him moved to a farm home in the town of Spencer, 5 miles east of Loyal, where they very happily resided until her death on Tuesday evening, Dec. 26th, 1922. She had suffered much from asthma since early womanhood, though pneumonia was the cause of her death. The funeral was held at the German Lutheran Church, of which she was a member, last Saturday. Rev. Eske, the local pastor, assisted by Rev. Pollman, officiating. She is survived by her brother Henry of Cayauga, sisters Miss Bertha of Loyal and Mrs. W. F. Blake of Chicago. The body escorted by a large following of sorrowing friends with these relatives brought her here Saturday afternoon and buried in the family lot in Rev. Reiff's Church Cemetery at Church Cemetery at Granton.
