Henrietta E. Hagedorn

Henrietta Hagedorn, age 88 of Neillsville, died Friday, May 21, at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville.

Henrietta was born in the town of Weston, Clark County, March 29, 1916 to Charles and Hulda (Marg) Poppe. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1935 and attended nurses training briefly in Rochester, Minn. She married Julius R. Hagedorn, May 12, 1940. She and her husband farmed on her home farm for 59 years where she was a homemaker, mother, gardener, nurse and confidant. She was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, being baptized and confirmed there. She enjoyed animals, flowers, dancing and being with her family.

She is survived by three children, Patricia Strangfeld, of Neillsville; Pastor Harold (Kathie) Hagedorn, of Wauwatosa; Charles (Carol 0.) Hagedorn, of Neillsville. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Carey (Brian) Hartwig, of Medford; Karen (Charles) Statz, of Neillsville; Kay (Randy) Waldhart, of Stetsonville; David Hagedorn, of London, England; Chrissie Hagedorn, of Milwaukee; and Katie (Matt) Schlomer, of Lannon; and nine great-grandchildren; Brandon, radley, Brittney, Brent, Christopher, Amanda, Megan, Claudia and Roy, and also a great-great- grandson due in June. She is also survived by a sister, Clara (Leo) Hemp, of Neillsville and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Frances Durst, Esther Meihack, Eva Hemp, and Sophia Johnson, one son-in-law; Donald Strangfeld and one niece.

Memorial services for Henrietta will be held Tuesday, June 1, at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe. Pastor Daniel Cole will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials May be dedicated to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the family.
