BERNARD AUBERG (1914-2004)

Bernard J. Auberg, 89, Owen died Friday, May 21 at Victory Medical Center in Stanley. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 25 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee, with Rev. Bryan Anderson officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Manke, Jim Peterson and Dan Poppe.

Muarina Funeral Home in Owen assisted the family with arrangements.

Bernard Auberg was born July 3, 1914 in Stanley to the late Adolph and Bertha (Anderson) Auberg.

His marriage to Ardelle Lepage, who survives, took place July 15, 1936 in Rib Lake. He worked as as livestock dealer in the Owen-Withee area and Equity Livestock in Withee. He owned and operated Auberg Chevrolet-Ponitiac Garage in Owen, and later built Midway Chevrolet-Pontiac in Owen. He also worked as a salesman for Berg Equipment in Marshfield.

He served on the Withee Village and Clark County boards. He was a member of the Withee Lions Club. He enjoyed his coffee clutch, sightseeing and bowling.

In addtion to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Luella (Harry) Bonk of Withee, three sons, Ron (Kathy) of Medford, Lanny (Kathy) of Pheonix, Ariz., and Jeff (Kathy) of Abbotsford; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter at birth; four brothers, Tony, Roy, Gordon and Harold; and two sisters, Laura Paulsen, and an infant.
