Kubat, Irene G. (27 NOV 1929)

A very pretty wedding took place Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, 1929, at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. P. F. Weber officiating, when Irene Gene Kubat became the bride of Paul J. Bladl.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kubat, 133 N. Hewett St., Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bladl, Granton, Clark County. The bride attended school in Neillsville and graduated from the high school course in 1928, and for the past year and a half has been bookkeeper for the Neillsville Milk Products Co. She has made many friends both in business and socially. She is an industrious and worthy young lady.

The groom went to school in Granton and since then he has been employed in garages at Loyal and Stanley, until a short time ago when he went into farming. He has many friends and is well liked by all who know him.

The bride wore a beautiful long dress of white satin faced crepe trimmed with rhinestones and silk moline net. A full skirt trimmed with net reached to the ankles. She wore a long silk veil which was caught by a beautiful crown of rhinestones and buds. She wore a string of pearls and white kid pumps and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet pears. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party, and later a dinner reception was served to immediate relatives and friends at the home of the bride's parents.

The bride was attended by Mrs. Mike Zahradka, sister of the groom, and Miss Anna Zahradka, a friend odf the bride. Mrs. Mike Zahradka wore an orchid chiffon crepe dress. Both wore head bands of rhinestones and carried bouquets of light pink and white carnations.

The groom was attended by Carl Bladl, brother of the groom, and Mike Zahradka, brother-in-law of the groom. The groom and his attendants wore navy blue suits.

Marie Jeanette Kubat, little sister of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a rose satin dress trimmed with tan georgette and carried a basket of pink and yellow pom poms. Shirley Mae Gault was ring bearer and she wore a blue satin dress and carried a blue pillow trimmed with white ribbon. Both little girls wore large bows of moline net in their hair.

The rooms were prettily decorated with pink and white crepe paper, wedding bells and flowers.

The waitresses were Miss Minnie Buddinger, Miss Gertrude Gress, Miss Esther Kalsow and Miss Genevieve O'Brien. They wore white dresses.

The newlyweds left by car on a trip to Minnesota. On returning, they will be at home on the John Kubat farm.
