Lindau, George F. (10 July 1905 - 02 October 1983)

George F. Lindau, 78, Curtiss, died Sunday at the Colonial House of Colby in Colby.

Services will be Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss. The Rev. Jeffrey Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford.

He was born July 10, 1905 in Dorchester, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Anna Schroder) Lindau. He married Irene Plockelman September 24, 1930 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church parsonage in Dorchester. The couple farmed for 47 years in the Town of Hoard, moving to Curtiss in March 1982.

A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Curtiss Community Club, Mr. Lindau is survived by his wife; four sons, David of Bruce, Dennis of Curtiss, Robert of Marshfield and Thomas of Colby; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Waunita) Filyaw of Aberdeen, Washington, and Mrs. Verdayne (Shirley) Hanson of Bayfield; one brother, Arnold Lindau of Dorchester; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Gosse of Owen, Mrs. Olga Eggett of Pittsville and Mrs. Amanda Moore of Wisconsin Rapids; 12 grandchildren; and thee great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
