Budd, Endora L. (6 Aug. 1865 - 21 July 1926)

Mrs. Endora L. Budd passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna Neve in Chicago, July 21, aged 60 years, 10 months and 15 days.

Endora L. Carney was born in Lowville township near Rio, August 6, 1865. She grew to womanhood there and on Oct. 2, 1889, was married to Charles Budd in Madison. They lived in this vicinity of Rio until 1913, when they moved to the town of Sherwood in this county, residing on their farm there until Mr. Budd’s death, which occurred last February, just 5 months previous to the death of Mrs. Budd. After his death she went to Chicago to make her home with her daughter where she died. During her residence in Sherwood she won the respect and friendship of all whom she met, and her old friends and neighbors were greatly grieved to learn of her death. To Mr. and Mrs. Budd 4 children were born: John C. Budd of Chicago, Pearl, who died in 1913, Mrs. Edna Neve of Chicago and Roy M. Budd of the same city. She leaves also one sister, Mrs. Eunice Tongen of Portage and her aged mother, Mrs. G. W. Carney of Portage. All these except the mother were in attendance at the funeral, which was held at Sherwood town hall, Saturday afternoon, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating, burial taking place beside her husband in Sherwood cemetery. The pall bearers were Fred Seltrecht, Wm. Seltrecht, Albert Gall, A. M. Blakely, Andrew Anderson , ---rest cut off.
