Mrs. Felix Mikolainis, 70 years of age, passed away suddenly at her farm home in the town of Withee of heart trouble early Friday morning, Nov. 20th. She had been ailing for some time but her health was considered to be improving.

Mary Holec was born in Posen, Poland on Feb. 14, 1866. She came to America in the year 1886, residing at Chicago, Ill., where she was united in marriage to Felix Mikilainis. She and her husband came to Thorp in 1893 and located on a farm in the township of Withee. As a pioneer of this section she endured many hardships, but undertook her tasks with a smile and energy not to be denied.

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn, two sisters, Katherine Giecewicz, of Chicago and Frances Mathews, Bradley, Ill., two sons, Gemon of Thorp and Kase of Marathon, Wis., two daughters, Mildred and Bertha of Chicago.

The funeral was held at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church on Monday morning at nine o'clock. Rev. F. A. Kulig officiating and interment following in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were: Geo. Zukowski, Geo. Jakowicz, Peter Jarocki, Mike Klapatauskas, Fred Petrulis and John Kliminsi.
