Rodehau, Helma (Marriage - 26 Sept. 1925)

At two o’clock Saturday afternoon Sept. 26, 1925, Miss Helma Rodehau and Mr. Walter Wischulke were married at the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. J. Reiff officiating.

The bride wore a dress of white Georgette crepe trimmed with white and gold beads over a satin slip. She wore a veil and wreath and carried a shower bouquet of American Beauty and cream color roses and smilax.

The bride’s attendants were her friends, Lillian Schlinsog being first bridesmaid and Selma Retta, second bridesmaid. They were dressed in apricot crepe de chine and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations and smilax.

The groom wore navy blue and was attended by his friend Hans Heimke wearing navy blue, and the bride’s uncle, Gustav Moh wearing dark brown.

Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party drove to Neillsville and has their pictures taken, then returned to the home of her sister, Mrs. Emil Garbusch, where a bounteous wedding dinner was served to near relatives at 6 o’clock. The rooms were decorated in pink and white with white wedding bells.

The bride who came from Germany in February, is the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Rodehau of Breslau, Germany.

The groom is the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wischulke of the town of Lynn, being well known in this vicinity.

The young couple left early Sunday morning on their honeymoon to Milwaukee to visit relatives, after which when then return they will make their home on the Wm. Wischulke farm. Our best wishes go with them.
