Frantz, Minnie A. (24 OCT 1879 - 30 NOV 1924)

Mrs. Henry Frantz passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning, Nov. 30, 1924, at her home on Grand Av. (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) She began to fail in health last May and while at times she seemed to be regaining health, her strength gradually grew less during the summer. All that medical science could do for her was done, both by local physicians and those at Marshfield, but with no permanent benefit.

Mrs. Frantz, whose maiden name was Minnie Augusta Bartz, was born in the city of Buffalo, N.Y., Oct. 24, 1879. She grew to womanhood there and was there married to Henry Frantz May 20, 1902, who was stationed at Buffalo when receiving his discharge from the regular army.

In July the following their marriage they came to Neillsville, and for about two years lived with Mr. Frantz's parents on the farm. They then moved to Neillsville, where they lived for a time, then moved out on their own farm. Mr. Frantz, having been appointed as guard at the State Reformatory at Green Bay, the family moved to that city, where they lived nearly two years, moving back again to their farm. Eight years ago they moved to Neillsville, which has been their home since. Mrs. Frantz was in every sense of the word a good woman. She was a devoted wife and mother, a kind neighbor and in every relation of life, lived as a true Christian. She will be greatly missed in the community and particularly in her own home. She was a member of the Reformed Church, the Mystic Workers, the Royal Neighbors and the Rebekah Lodge. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and six children: Helen, who teaches school at Star Corners, Oscar, who has been employed in the north part of the county, Harry, aged 16, in high school, Eddie 13, Harold 10 and Henry 7. Two children, a girl and a boy, died when young. She leaves also four sisters and a brother in Buffalo, N.Y.

The funeral will be held this Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and 2 o'clock at the Reformed Church, Rev. D. Grether officiating.
