Severson, Vivian (3 NOV 1923)

Carl Schmidt of the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis. and Miss Vivian Severson of Greenwood, Clark County, were married Nov. 3, 1923 at the home of Rev. Mallory, who performed the ceremony. The bride was tastefully gowned in blue silk. They were attended by Miss Lorinda smith, a sister of the groom, and Hugh Severson, a brother of the bride. After the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the home of the groom's parents, where a wedding supper was served to near relatives and in the evening a reception was held there in their honor and the esteem in which the young people are held was proven by the number of practical gifts which they received. Refreshments were served and the evening spent in music and conversation, after which they young couple departed for their new home at Greenwood, where they immediately began housekeeping and where the groom has a position as cheesemaker for the Farmers' Cooperative factory. He has been a successful cheesemaker for years. The young people are both well known and well liked in Greenwood and Granton, and we hope that their many lovable, sterling qualities will guide them safely through the sea of matrimony, where only true love can weather the test.
