Broihier, Lorence (Marriage - 14 April 1923)

Mr. Edwid Hauge and Miss Lorence Broihier were quietly married Saturday evening, April 14, Judge O. W. Schoengarth officiating. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hauge. He was born in Neillsville and this has always been his home. After finishing a portion of the high school course he went to work for his father in the dray and coal business. During the World War he saw much active service, being in France for some time. On his return he went into partnership with his father and has been the active manager of the business since. He is a young man of high character, accommodating and efficient in his business and is looked upon as one of the rising young men of this community.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Broihier of south Pine Valley. After finishing the rural school she took the Teachers’ Training Course in the Neillsville High School, graduating in 1920. Since then she has taught successfully and is at present teaching the school at Christie. At the completion of the school year, the young couple expect to take up housekeeping, the groom having bought the old home from his father.

Their many friends here wish them the greatest success and happiness.
