Ruth V.A. DeCremer Selves Smukal
Ruth V. A. DeCremer Selves Smukal, age 85, of Neillsville, passed away Thursday, March 11.
She was born Aug. 27, 1918 in Neillsville to Charles and Alma (Dominsky) DeCremer. On Oct. 22, 1944 she married Forrest W. Selves. Forrest passed away Oct. 19, 1946. On April 16, 1955 she married Robert G. Smukal of Wis. Dells.
She is survived by one son; William and wife Mary Jane; one brother, Clarence and his wife Marion, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her first and second husbands, and two grandchildren.
She was an employee of Badger State Telephone Co. of Neillsville for 19 years. Also, she was a life member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #73.
A memorial service is scheduled for Ruth, March 18, 2004, beginning at noon for a short visitation period. Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Biebert presiding, A short lunch will follow. All will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church; Neillsville. Pastor Biebert presiding.
