York, Wisconsin: November 6, 1893

S.L. Drake, of Granton, gave the Center a pleasant call Thursday. H.W. Visgar is sporting a handsome new bicycle. York Center is have a feed mill in the near future. Halloween night was observed to a great extent at the Center. Any body wishing for particulars should enquire of W.W. and M.T. Rev. Charles Palmer delivered an elegant mum discourse at the M.E. Church last Monday evening. Mrs. George Lindsley, of this place, attended the convention of the W.C.T.U. held at Loyal the latter part of last week. Al Turner transacted business at the county seat Monday last. E.B. Johnson, of Neillsville, moved his family back on his farm last Saturday. A gathering took place at the home of S.D. Gibson Saturday eve and a few pleasant hours were spent in social and private chat. Mat Rondorf is the guest of his brother Joe and contemplates spending the winter at this place. A. Benedict visited at Loyal Friday last. Tom Kerns and Scott Davis, of Neillsville, were pleasant callers Sunday. Fred Benedict, of Chili, spent Sunday with his pa and ma.
