York, Wisconsin: October 16, 1893

Walter Graves went to Chicago last Tuesday with a car load of sheep. I. Fulwiler went to Marshfield Monday on business. Carl Fischer and daughter Lizzie visited at Loyal last Tuesday. Last Tuesday evening a surprise was given at the home of Al Turner and wife in honor of their daughter Elva. An enjoyable time is reported by all. Daniel Davidson returned to Rhinelander last Thursday. Abie Turner, Melvin Lawrence and Willie Fulwiler went to Plainfield last Thursday to work in the potato fields for D.E. Barker. Ernest Grabe visited the county seat Thursday last. Miss Lillie Warner, who is attending school at Neillsville, spent Sunday with her parents. James Davidson and wife of Lynn, were the guests of C.H. Benedict and wife last week. Mrs. William Smithers returned Saturday from an extended visit at Fox Lake. Miss Henrietta Sutherland of Heathville, viisited with her sister, Mrs. S.D. Gibson, Sunday. Rev. E.H. Lindsley will occupy the pulpit at Pittsville. Amos Fulwiler went to Loyal last Tuesday. Wonder what for?
