Griffith, Alice (Marriage - 25 Jun 1913)

At 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jun 25, 1913, Mr. John Richardson and Miss Alice Griffith were united in marriage at the home of the bride'’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Griffith of the town of Weston, Clark County, Rev. Parch of Lake Mills, a former pastor of the Griffith family, performing the ceremony.

About one hundred guests including relatives were present. The rooms were tastily decorated in honor of the occasion.

The groom was attended by Carl Rabenstein Jr. and Lloyd Watters and the bride by her sister Miss Flo Griffith and Miss Ella Richardson.

After the ceremony a bountiful wedding dinner was served.

The groom is the son of John Richardson Sr. He was brought up on the home farm in Weston which in company with his brother he is now carrying on under the firm name of Richardson Bros. He is an industrious young man of high character, and an expert farmer and dairyman.

The bride came here with her parents a few years ago from Fond du Lac. They are people of rare refinement and public spirit, and the bride has, while in school, and in a social way, made herself a favorite among the young people of this community. She is a young lady of charming personality and character.

The young couple took up housekeeping at once at the Richardson farm.

In the establishment of this new household, a host of friends take a lively and kindly interest, in which we most heartily join.
