Wallace, William (1854? - 10 Sep 1914)

William Wallace died at his farm home near Augusta Sept. 10, 1914, aged 60 years. He was born in Indiana and came to Wisconsin with his parents when a small boy and lived for a time in the south part of the state. Later they moved to Vernon County.

Nineteen years ago he moved to Clark County and lived about 9 years on a farm in the town of Washburn. Selling out there he bought a farm near Augusta in Eau Claire Co., where he resided till the time of his death.

He was married in Vernon Co. to Margaret Lowery, who survives him. He leaves six children: Mrs. C.C. Carpenter, Mrs. Geo. Stiegelman, Mrs. Otto Stubbe, William and Avery, and Pearl, who lived at home.

Mr. Wallace was a member of the Neillsville Odd Fellow Lodge, a delegation going from the lodge to act as pallbearers at the funeral which was held Sept. 14.
