Eagles, Gladys J. (Marriage - 4 May 1912)

Saturday evening, at 8 o’clock, May 4, 1912, Mr. Theodore Haugen and Miss Gladys J. Eagles were united in marriage at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Yankee, rev. Prucia officiating, the ring ceremony being used. Mr. Joseph Haugen, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man and Miss Anna Neumann as bridesmaid. The bride wore a dress of white voile trimmed in lavender and insertion and carried white carnations and the bridesmaid pink carnations. The groom wore a suet of dark blue serge. The rooms were prettily decorated with violets and pink and white carnations. The wedding was a quiet one, only near friends of the parties being present. After the ceremony a fine wedding supper was served, being prepared by Mrs. Yankee. Many beautiful and useful presents were given.

The bride and groom grew up in Neillsville, Clark County, were educated in our schools and begin married life with the best wishes of many friends. The Republican and Press has more than the ordinary interest in this young couple, as both are employed in this office, and their industry and efficiency are much appreciated. We join with many others in hopes for their happiness and success in life. They begin housekeeping at once.
