Yoker, Hannah (17 May 1844 - 29 Jun 1911)

Mrs. Hannah Yoker died Jun 29, 1911 at the hospital in Eau Claire, where she had undergone an operation a short time before her death. Mrs. Yorker was one of the oldest residents of this city. She was born in Germany May 17, 1844, and grew to womanhood there. Her maiden name was Beyer. In 1865 she was married to Albert Yorker and they came at once to America, settling her in Neillsville, Clark County, where she has lived ever since. Her husband died some years ago. She leaves a son Adolph in Oregon, one son Oscar her, a daughter Minnie in Neillsville. A sister Mrs. Ferdinand Knoop lives in Pine Valley, and two brothers, Wm. And Herman Beyer in Oregon. Mrs. Yoker was a good neighbor and a kind mother, a woman who had the friendship of all who knew her. The funeral was held at the German Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Brandt officiating. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation of the kindness and sympathy shown by the neighbors and friends and especially the German society for flowers contributed, and also the choir which sang at the funeral.
