Dodte, Elsie (Marriage - 15 Augl 1910)

Mr. Walter Beilfuss and Miss Elsie Dodte were married at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dodte, who live east of the city in Pine Valley, Clark County, Monday evening, Aug. 15, 1910. It was a quiet home wedding, only near relatives of the bride and groom being present. Rev. H.A. Risser performed the ceremony, after which a sumptuous supper was served. Tuesday morning the bride and groom took the train for St. Paul and other points for a wedding trip. Later they will be at home in Withee, where the groom is established in the general merchandise business.

The bride is well known to all our people; she grew to womanhood here, attended school and graduated with honor from the high school. After making a good record as a teacher at various places in the county she was given a place in Neillsville schools, which she filled acceptably the last year. As a student and teacher she made the best use of her talents and opportunities. The groom has the reputation of being a progressive, energetic and honest young man of business. The writer knew him as a boy and takes pleasure in extending to him congratulations and in joining with others in wishing him and his bride the success and happiness they so well deserve.
