Humes, Myrtle (Marriage - 12 Apr 1910)

The marriage of Miss Myrtle Humes and Mr. Wm. F. Hansen was solemnized on Tuesday, April 12, 1910, at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Geo. Bandelow. It was exactly high noon when Mrs. W.P. burrows played the first notes of the wedding march, when the bride and groom, accompanied by Miss Lilla Dunbar of River Falls as bridesmaid and Mr. James Abrams of Chippewa Falls as best man, entered the parlor and took their respective places. Rev. W.P. Burrows pronounced the sacred words that united this happy pair in the holy bonds of matrimony. The bride was becomingly gowned in white silk tissue, while the groom wore the conventional black. The bride carried a bouquet of bridal roses.

Immediately after the ceremony a bounteous wedding dinner held the attention of all present. Only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties were present. The rooms were tastefully decorated with smilax and roses.

The bride, whose home is in North Port, Wis., has many friends here (Neillsville, Clark County). The groom who is from Chippewa Falls, is a stranger here but has the esteem of all who know him. He is at present employed as carpenter at the State Home. They took the afternoon train for Chippewa Falls, where they will make their future home.
