Huber, Arthur (23 Oct 1908 - 22 Augl 2002)

Arthur G. Huber, 93, Reedsburg, formerly of Spencer, died on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at the Sauk County Health Care Center. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, at Community Funeral Home, Spencer. The Rev. Kevin Kohnke officiated. Burial was in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Arthur G. Huber was born on Oct. 23, 1908, in Marathon County, to Wenzel and Amelia "Molly" (nee Stezel) Huber. He married Dora Oelrich on Dec. 15, 1932. He was a barber in Spencer for more than 70 years. His interests included fishing, hunting, and playing guitar, harmonica, ukulele and mandolin.

Survivors include his wife, Dora, Reedsburg; one son, Ronald (Helen) Huber, Reedsburg; one daughter, Nancy (Terry) Stevens, Land O’Lakes; five grandchildren, Mark (Jan) Huber, Reedsburg, Brad (Mary Jo) Huber, Reedsburg, Rick (Theresa) Huber, Wisconsin Dells, Curt Stevens, Land O’Lakes, and Ronda Stevens, Land O’Lakes; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ted (Alice) Huber, Spencer; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Charles Huber and Edward Huber; and five sisters, Ella Matter, Frieda Hoops, Vera Mellenthin, Sophia Oelrich and Ada Taylor. The Hoof Funeral Home, Reedsburg, assisted the family with arrangements.
