Eisentraut, Elsie (Marriage - 25 Nov 1908)

Another couple of the best young people of the town of Grant, Clark County were united in marriage Wednesday evening, Nov. 25, 1908, the contracting parties being Mr. Walter Gerhardt and Miss Elsie Eisentraut, the marriage taking place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Eisentraut, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating. Willard Gerhard, the groom’s brother and his cousin Ida Counsell acted as groomsman and bridesmaid. A bountiful supper was served and the young couple received many beautiful presents, practical as well as valuable, for the housekeeping, which begins at once on the groom’s farm near the home of his father Mr. William Gerhardt. Few young people begin life better prepared for homemaking than they. The bride comes from a good home, where she has received proper instruction, and is possessed of intelligence and the highest womanly qualities. The groom has had the advantage of his father’s training in practical farming since childhood, in addition to which her has taken the Short Course in Agriculture at the state University and has had other excellent experience since on some of the best stock farms in the state. His views of life have been broadened by a scientific knowledge of his work, and he has besides, keen general intelligence and a high standard of morality.
