Esselmann, Amelia T. (Marriage - 10 Nov 1908)

Mr. George A. Claridge and Miss Amelia Theresa Esselmann were married Tuesday Nov. 10, 1908 at the Catholic Church in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), Rev. A. Dorrenbach officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Esselmann of the town of Loyal, and is very well known in this city, having been a stenographer in Attorney S.M. Marsh’s office for several years. Socially she is held in high esteem and in a business way made a wide acquaintance through her work in the office and has established an enviable reputation for intelligence, courtesy and competency in her work. She possessed far mare than mere clerical skill, rapidly mastering the details of all her duties and winning the confidence and respect of every person with whom she had to deal. The writer has known her since she was a small school girl and has noted with pleasure and interest her progress and success. The groom is not entirely a stranger here, being a brother to Mrs. Richard Townsend, and during his visits here has made a number of friends. He is Assistant Postmaster in the city of Reedsburg and in his home city is considered a young man of ability, honest and rare social qualities. After a trip to Minneapolis and other points they will be at home at Reedsburg after Dec. 10.
