Farning, Mary (22 Feb 1858 - 27 Feb 1937)

Mrs. Mary Farning, 79, passed away early Friday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gall at Loyal, Clark County with whom she had lived for the past several years.

Mrs. Farning was born in Germany on Feb. 22, 1858 and was married to Christ Leffler. A few years after their marriage they came to Wisconsin, living on farms around here and Loyal. Mr. Leffler passed away in 1919. She was then married to Jack Farning, who passed away six months after their marriage. Mrs. Farning was only ill about a week.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Dore (Maggie) of the state of Washington and a sister in Germany.

Funeral services were conducted at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Loyal at 9:00 Monday morning March 1, with Rev. A.J. Aurit officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery here.
