Hosley, Loomis L. (12 May 1862 - 19 Mar 1909)

Loomis L. Hosley, who died in the hospital at Boise, Idaho, March 19, 1909, was born on the old Hosley farm two miles north of this city (Neillsville, Clark County), May 12, 1862, where he grew to manhood. He was married about twenty-three years ago to Emma Redmond, who with their four children survives him. In 1904 they went to Lake Benton, Minn., where deceased was in business about five years. They returned and lived on their farm in York for four years, when they went to Boise, Idaho. Mr. Hosley being employed by large lumbering companies there. He bought a small ranch there and while yet in his prime seemed prepared to enjoy the comforts of life for many years, when a fatal illness took hold of him.

He was a man of powerful physique, whole souled, and good hearted. He leaves here many old friends and neighbors who mourn his death. The funeral was held Thursday of last week in the Congregational Church, Rev. W.T. Hendren and Rev. H.A. Risser officiating.
