Fessenden, Jonas (23 OCT 1837 - 11 May 1907)

Jonas Fessenden, one of the oldest residents of the town of Levis, Clark County, died at his home in that town May 11, 1907, of cancer. He was born in New York, Oct. 23, 1837. He came to Wisconsin when sixteen years of age, and has resided in the town where he died ever since. About forty years ago he was married to Angeline Day, who survives him. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, five daughters and several grandchildren to mourn his death.

Mr. Fessenden was a genial man of the pioneer type, and a kind and hospitable neighbor. The funeral was held at Dells Dam Church Tuesday, Rev. D.A. Rohrabaugh officiating.
