Loveless, Mariette (Jul 1825 - 16 Apr 1907)

Mrs. S.S. Loveless died at her home in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), April 16, 1907. Her husband, S.S. Loveless, did only a few weeks ago, and being in poor health at that time the shock of his death told upon her strength, and she continued to grow weaker until she died. Deceased, whose maiden name was Mariette (Maryette?) Edwards, was born in New York State in July 1825. She was married to Mr. Loveless at Columbus, Wis. in 1855, and they came to Clark County, settling in the town of Washburn in 1876, making their home there till three years ago, when they moved to this city. She was a woman of most excellent qualities, devoted to her home and family, and loved by all. She leaves an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ernest Roessler, also two brothers and two sisters. A son died many years ago, when a little boy.

The funeral will be held at the home this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock, Rev. A.R. Rice officiating. The remains will be taken to Columbus Friday for burial.
