Dickinson, Grace (1876? - 2 JUN 1906)

On Saturday, June 2, 1906, Grace Dickinson died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Dickinson in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), at the age of twenty-nine years.

On Wednesday she had undergone a surgical operation which had failed, however, to bring relief.

She was born and brought up here, her parents being among the oldest resident of this city, and was known from childhood by nearly everyone. For some time her health had been poor and she had suffered much; but her daily appearance revealed but little of this to any but her most intimate friends. To some of them it was known that she felt certain that her life was to be short, and that she died what she could to get the most out of it according to her philosophy. Only those who knew her best fully understood her nature, and they loved her well, for her heart was generous and warm.

Her death is a sad bereavement to her home, which within a few years has lost three from its fireside. Besides her parents, she leaves two brothers. The funeral will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, awaiting the return of the brother Richard, who resides in Colorado.
