Jones, Grace (Marriage - 27 JUN 1905)

On Tuesday evening there occurred a very pretty wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Jones, at which their worthy and accomplished daughter, Miss Grace, was united in marriage to Emil Mick, formerly of Neillsville, Clark County, but now of Edgar. The rooms were tastily decorated for the occasion with roses, carnations and syringas. There were about seventy relatives and near friends of the bride in attendance to witness the ceremony, which took place at 8 o'clock, and was performed by Rev. W.P. Burrows. Misses Kathryn Mick, Oce and Lulu Thompson, and Helen Marsh acted as bridesmaids, Miss Ruth Jones as maid of honor, and John Mick and Clarence Kopf as best men. Mrs. Myrta Fey played the wedding march. The bride was gowned in white swiss and carried red roses, and the bridesmaids wore figured organdy.

There was a fine array of costly, useful and beautiful presents be bespeak the esteem in which this young couple was held.

Following were out of town guests: John Mick of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mick of Ottawa, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Marsh and daughter, Miss Helen; Mrs. M. Mick and daughter Miss Kathryn, Clarence and Miss Edna Klopf and Julie Servaty, all of Neillsville.

The bride and groom took the 11:45 train that night for Chicago, where they will visit briefly and purchase some household goods, then they will go to their future home at Edgar, where he is head clerk in a mercantile establishment. He was formerly of Neillsville, and is well known here as a young man of character, energy and sterling worth. The bride is one of our most estimable young ladies, being a graduate of our high school, the recipient of a higher musical education and possessed of all the desirable native graces of attractive young womanhood.
