Maxwell, David B. (5 JUN 1832 - 13 JUN 1904)

David B. Maxwell died at his home in Pine Valley, Clark County Monday, June 13, 1904, aged 72 years and 8 days. The cause of his death was typhoid fever. Deceased was born near Saratoga, N.Y., and came to Wisconsin in 1854, settling near Sparta, where he remained four or five years. He afterwards went to Iowa, where he enlisted in the army. After the war he went to Kansas, where he resided till about eight years ago, when he came to Clark County. He was married in Missouri to Mary J. Allen who with three children, Ellsworth, Miss Kate Maxwell and Mrs. Jessie Oldham survive him. He was the last survivor of eleven brothers and sisters. He was a man of estimable character, a good citizen, a kind father and husband. The funeral was held at the home Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. K. Griffiths officiating.
